J.Alton Byrd
J. Alton Byrd is an executive and lifestyle coach specializing in personalized development for multicultural entrepreneurs, and for men and women in sports-related businesses. His approach to coaching is to provide a platform for individuals to gain information, education, and inspiration on their path to balance and business success.
Alton has over 25 years of sports and brand marketing experience in both the United States and Europe. His career started in market research in London with IMS International. Subsequently, he worked as a stock broker with Ashworth Sons and Barrett in Manchester, England, for NFL International-London, and NBA’s Sacramento Kings as Vice President of Strategic Alliances. In 2002, Alton founded Clear Focus Coaching Inc., prior to joining Shirlaws.
Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alton makes his home in Northern California. He is an intrepid traveler, having visited over 125 major cities around the world on business and playing his beloved sport of basketball. Alton holds a degree in Urban Studies and Economics from Columbia University, and has recently been inducted into the Columbia University Athletics Hall Of Fame.
