Think Feel Know. Which are you?

Think Feel Know shows how you normally respond to information and gives you the ability to actively process that information differently. It allows you to understand what other people are really saying and choose how to respond to them effectively.

You use think, feel and know all the time. But most people tend to communicate in just one style in preference over the others. If you’re able to recognise other peoples’ preferences, you’ll be able to connect with them more easily.

It’s as simple as that.

Imagine you are reading a menu in a restaurant.

If you are mainly a Thinker you will:
  • Read through the menu methodically
  • Read the description of each dish
  • Weigh up several options
  • Compare prices
  • Take time to decide
  • Probably ask those with you ‘What are you having?’
  • Even after ordering you may wonder if you have made the right choice.
If you are mainly a Feeler you will:
  • Look around you and absorb the atmosphere
  • Not want to read all the descriptions
  • Probably ask yourself what you feel like having
  • Look at other people’s dishes
  • Ask the waiter what’s best tonight
  • Choose the dish that ‘feels’ right
If you are mainly a Knower you will:
  • Already have a good idea of what you want before you arrive
  • Briefly scan the menu
  • See a dish that stands out
  • Be the first to choose
  • You might become a little impatient waiting for others to choose
  • You may even help others to choose to get things moving
